Butterfly Cut — 1 Day Intensive

A practical watch-and-hands-on training day designed to take you from understanding the foundations of the Butterfly Cut to confidently creating, personalising and styling the look yourself.

Module 1 — Foundations, Consultation & Safety

• Health, safety, hygiene and professional practice

• Client consultation and hair assessment

• Understanding hair type, density, length and face shape

• Understanding the Butterfly Cut, its shape and suitability

Module 2 — Watch & Learn: Butterfly Cut Technique

Watch the full technique demonstrated step by step, including:

• Sectioning and cutting guides

• Elevation and cutting angles

• Creating face-framing layers

• Building shorter and longer layers

• Maintaining length while creating movement

• Connecting, blending and cross-checking the cut

Module 3 — Hands-On Practical

It's your turn to recreate the technique with tutor guidance:

• Preparing and sectioning correctly

• Creating and balancing your layers

• Developing confidence with cutting angles and elevation

• Blending and refining the finished cut

• Identifying and correcting common mistakes

Module 4 — Styling & The Butterfly Finish

• Blow-drying for volume and movement

• Creating the signature Butterfly shape

• Product and tool selection

• Finishing and presenting the final look professionally

Module 5 — Client Ready

• Personalising the cut for different clients

• Aftercare and maintenance advice

• Recommending future appointments

• Practical feedback and final assessment
